Below is a touch-and-go circuit headings calculator, a QNH converter, a UTC to AEST converter, and an estimator for the distance from a WP to begin a descent at a given FL.

To use the circuit headings calculator, enter the runway take-off heading at ‘Input 160°M’ (where M=Magnetic), example, for runway ILS34, enter ‘340’.

The QNH converter is used by entering a value in either inHg (29.92) or millibars (1013) into the appropriate fields.

To use the speed/temperature/weight/distance converters, enter a value into one of the fields to get the converted value in the other fields.

To convert your local time to UTC time, first enter the UTC time difference for your zone in the center field, e.g., is +10:00 AEST in winter and +11.00 AEDT (daylight saving) in summer. Next place your local time into the AEST field to get the UTC time or place the UTC time into the UTC field to get your local (eg. AEST) time.
Example: To convert 21:35 AEST to UTC, enter 2135 (or 0935pm) into the AEST field to get 11:35 (11:35 am) in the UTC field.
Note that all time values must be entered as a four digit number, for example, 9:30am is entered as 09:30am or 0930 and 2:45pm is entered as 02:45pm, 0245pm or 1445.

To determine the distance from your current altitude to a given WP to begin a 3° FPA descent, enter your current altitude into the ‘Alt from’ field and then the altitude you need to be at at that WP into the ‘Alt to’ field. For example, from a current altitude of FL200, you need to be at an altitude of 3000 ft at WP1; enter FL200 (or 200 or 20000) into the field ‘Alt from’ and then 3000 into the field ‘Alt to’ to give a ‘Result’ of 53.4 Nm from WP1 to start the descent. Note that the flight path angle, FPA (default = 3°), is editable, and the adjustment field, ‘Adj’ (default = 0), can be altered to improve accuracy.

To move the app UI to a better position within the browser window horizontally, triple-click and hold the left mouse button over the UI then drag and drop to the preferred position.
